Lock Down Studio B - Project Art Works

Every Tuesday I head to Hastings to Project Art Works where I am lead artist for Tuesday Accelerate Studios. I work in collaboration with a team of brilliant artists and neurodiverse makers. We had to respond very quickly to lockdown and think about how we can continue to support the vulnerable people we work with. This began with producing bespoke art boxes which them rippled thorough the whole organisation and boxes being made for all the different studio days which was fantastic to observe.

For the Tuesday Accelerate group we have had a blended approach to how we have continued to work using telephone, post, email, hand deliveries and zoom workshops to stay in touch and continue to work creatively. It's been a great way also to learn more about the group and how they live in their everyday, whether at home with families or in care homes and equally their extended support have got to know more about the work we do. Troublingly it's been difficult to get in touch with some participants and we are working to make their human right to a creative activity possible.
