Draw Me In

Over the last couple of months I have been in and out of Towner Art Gallery and schools in Sussex delivering workshops for this year's children's and young people's annual exhibition to launch at Towner in April. A steering group of teachers and artists helped shape the theme for the exhibition, including the selection of twelve artworks, all by women, from Towner's collection. These have provided the starting point for inspiration, alongside a specially designed Resource Pack, sent to all schools in East Sussex and available to other groups on request. Pictured is a piece of work made by 60 year 5 pupils following a 2 hour non-stop drawing they participated in that I set up in a primary school in Lewes. This piece will be exhibited as part of the exhibition the pupils came up with many titles and voted for "The Never-Ending Walk" one as their favourite.
